GMC introduced the 2017 Sierra HD All Terrain X. This is the one and only off-road truck available in the Sierra HD line and it is packed with quality off-road-ready equipment and style.
This fall, the GMC Canyon and Sierra will be available in the "limited-edition All Terrain X series". The Sierra 2500HD 4x4 crew cab will come with two possilbe engines: a 6.0 liter V8 engine or a Duramax 6.6L V8 turbo diesel. With still more power, the new Duramax engine provides 445 hp and 910 lb.-ft. of torque.
According to Duncan Aldred, vice president of GMC Sales and Marketing, "The new Sierra HD All Terrain X's powerful attitude reflects a popular trend in very capable off-road trucks, executed with a range-topping level of refinement - a combination of attributes GMC has cultivated for years". We're all craving for top-of-the-line trucks that can go off-road, packed with technology and the Sierra All Terrain X proves off-road trucks are still part of the game. Customized for off-road, the All Terrain X package includes 18-inch black painted wheels, Goodyear tires that are more aggressive and provide more off-road performance and a front grille and door handles that will be matching the body paint. The package also includes mirrors that will be heated and will be powered to fold in when parking the truck as well as some LED turn signals joined to the mirrors. A black bar will be mounted in the bed to support some LED off-road driving lamps. The package offers only two colors, Black Onyx and Summit White. The Z71 suspension and an under body shield will also be included. Packed with technology, the truck will be available with an 8 inch color touch screen, Teen Driver mode, a remote starting system and tailgate locking and wireless charging. GMC haven't announced the prices yet but all we know is it will be available next year and they will release specs and pricing in a few months.
