A long time ago, the Volkswagen put up to the market the Volkswagen Type 2, more commonly know in North America as the Westfalia. Its first official drawing were made in 1947 but it took more than a year until it got officially approved for production. A few months later, on the 12th day of November 1949, the first Volkswagen Type 2 drove off the assembly line. They stopped the production of this generation in 1967. Now, 50 years later, Volkswagen presents the I.D. Buzz concept, the successor of the Westfalia. |
