Today Chevrolet introduced the 2017 Spark Activ, a connected "mini-car" as they mention, at the Automobility LA show, in Los Angeles, CA. Here's some more information. The new Spark will provide fun and style, according to Steve Majoros, Chevrolet's director of Car and Crossover Marketing. The last generation of the Spark was really small, in fact, it was so small my friend (and also news writer for One Gear at a Time) had to open the sunroof to fit inside the car. Sadly, Chevrolet didn't provide any specific stats on the head room for the new car but hopefully they've learned from their mistakes and made the vehicle with more head room. The Chevy Spark will be on sale in early 2017, the MSRP is set at $16,945 for a manual tranny or $18,045 for a CVT transmission. With an all new 15-inch wheel design and a completely redesigned suspension, the Spark got its ride height increased by 0.4 inch (10 mm). The top spec version will feature a steering wheel wrapped in leather, along with a rear view camera, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a free three month trial for the following: Sirius XM, OnStar, 4G LTE Wi-Fi; A/C, cruise control, remote key less entry, steering wheel controls (phone connectivity) and power windows with "express up and down" (basically a fancy name for auto up and down!). Power will be delivered through a 1.4L engine that will offer a fuel economy of approximately 29 mpg in the city and 37 mpg on the highway. Source: Media.Chevrolet.com
